Day 8

today we will have a tour of the whole research center well i guess the main parts of the research center and i look forward to learning more about this area. then we will go out on the evening hike and check out the transects for the amphibians and hopefully have better results. on the tour and now we are learning how they plant boton  de oro and got to learn how and see how they are clowning these plants and have rows of them they said with other plants they use the trial and error method where they find out what they need to do to keep it going or if it gets good results. We also got to see the little mill they have to cut and processes boards it was pretty cool to see compared to the mill we have back home teak wood was the wood they was cutting up and said India is the biggest buyer for it because they use it for boats and decorations which shocked me. We are getting ready tot head out and do our late evening stroll hoping to see some snakes or other amphibians and reptiles. Its pretty late we are the only ones up getting back to camp at 11:30 is crazy but its all for science and education we didn't see much today more spiders then anything so from the sounds of it we might transition over to just counting spiders since its the most common one we see and we seen all different types of spiders big ones colored ones, mixed colors on there body like one we seen had a green body but red abdomen which i thought was crazy to see. Also keep seeing wolf spiders and some spined spiders which looked creepy they had really long legs and was camouflaged on the tree so after that i stopped leaning on the trees or putting my hands on them. we found a scorpion which was cool Dr. Alberto put his uv light on it and it looked crazy cause the body is a white color and when he put the uv on it the body just glowed. NOW its bedtime
